SLAVERY, Past and Present
What is Slavery?
Slavery can be defined as the submission of an individual to a dominating influence, where individuals are forced against their will to perform laborious tasks, or even used as sex slaves. The main focus of our research was slavery, but while looking for information on modern slavery a lot our findings were on human trafficking cases.
What is Human Trafficking?
Human Trafficking is similar to slavery but it is more focused on the actual movement of people for the purposes of labour and sex, and the financial gain of human traffickers. It has become a far more commonly used term for the commodification of human beings and the use of people for labor, sex, and profit
