Human Trafficking: Modern Day Slavery in the 21st century

Human trafficking has increasingly become a problem throughout the world. In Canada specifically, one of the main issues is Canada being the transit route in regards to bringing women and children into the United States. Human Trafficking is now a modern form of slavery that makes women, and children do various forms of labor that they are not comfortable with being a part of; an example of that would be prostitution. At this time there is no formal protection for people against human trafficking. Canada must provide more protection and assistance to individuals facing this particular issue.
