This video takes a look at the plight of young boys in Myanmar (formerly Burma) who are forced to fight in the Tatmadaw, Myanmar's brutal and secretive armed forces. These boys face a terrible choice between forced combat and an incredibly risky attempt to escape to neighboring Thailand, a perilous journey that is rarely successful.
Child soldiers are some of the most tragic victims of modern slavery and human trafficking, and this video offers a glimpse of their plight from the perspective of a couple of these victims, as well as commentary from experts.
