This article gives a coherent understanding of the transatlantic trade, which started early in the fifteenth century, and lasted until the nineteenth century. It gives detailed descriptions of the countries involved in what was called the “triangular trade” (due to the route in which slaves were picked up, and distributed to). The article provides a good resource for those attempting to get a better understanding of how the transatlantic slave trade began, ended, and what it entailed.
