Trafficking in human beings

Eurostat reports on human trafficking that was existent throughout 2010-2012. It collected data from the 28 EU nation states and found that “30 146 victims were registered in the 28 EU Member States over the three years 2010-2012” and that of those victims 80% of them were female. They also found that over 70% of traffickers were male and that 65% of victims were citizens of the EU states.
